The beat goes on…

Ladies, Gentlemen and you there at the back,

I just thought I would bring you up to date on what is going on.

Charles and I are continuing to beaver away at Heroes, Villains and Fiends. The ‘final’ drafts for all the companies are complete. We now need to sense and cost check them. A lot of the other new material is nearing completion as well.

Then we need to create a new set of reference sheets to include all the new stuff, and build a backwards compatibility table so you all know what you can add to your established companies.

The submission date is the end of June and we think that is achievable.

I shall be at Partizan next weekend as planned and possibly at another, smaller, convention in July (wife willing).

We are currently talking to Osprey about a further supplement, more on that once we get the go ahead. Meanwhile we are continuing to churn out Company ideas, some of which may well become freebies on this blog.

There are two different Excel Company Generators currently under test. We are hopeful that we will be able to release both of them giving you the choice of which you prefer.

Lead Adventure’s VSF forum is becoming the main arena of debate about IHMN. I am continuing to visit several other fora and as many blogs as I can manage. If you have a fora or blog where you would like me to contribute please feel free to drop me a link.

There will be more fiction appearing on the blog. I am thinking of putting this in its own page as it does take up a lot of space on the front page.

Expect new figures from North Star in the near future, i.e. weeks not months. I can’t say more than this at the moment, but Nick and his team are certainly keeping up their sterling efforts to support IHMN.

Well that’s about it. I’ll keep you updated every 2-3 days, and in between expect a lot more stuff to get published.

  1. I’m going through the rules and all is great but I can’t seem to tally the preset companies with the points they have been given in the rule book.

I’d welcome a look at the two different Excel Company Generators when they are available, until then can anyone give me a breakdown of the 79 points that make up the cost of Count Friedrich Von Ströheim.

    • Hi Stewart,
Always happy to help out 🙂

      Here’s the calculation:
      16 Pluck +2
      4 FV +3
      2 SV +2
      2 MS Waistcoat
      5 Carbine
      4 Sabre
      10 All-Electric Limb Prosthesis
      20 Arc Generator
      10 Fearless
      6 Leadership +2
      79 Total

Don’t worry about it though, we suffered the same problems, as can be seen in the new errata sheet we’re putting up later today.
